Set of Three Chinese Guangxu Marked Polychrome Silk Ball Sauce Dishes Republic Period
A set of three sauce dishes with Guangxu reign marks and over glaze enamel designs of silk balls. Three small porcelain dishes with raised unglazed foot rings are decorated with a key fret mouth border and round multi colored silk balls in the well. The three have almost the same design but with small differences. They all have the Guangxu emperor’s reign mark stamped in iron red on the base. MEASUREMENTS 3 1/8” (7.9 cm) diameter x 1” (2.5 cm) tall. Weighs 5.1 oz (145 g) CONDITION There are no chips, cracks, repairs or breaks. There are kiln flaws, such as black spots, pin holes and bumps. One dish has, what looks like wear to the mouth border, but is a manufacturing flaw. There is very slight wear. A set of sauce dishes with a reign mark that can be used or added to a collection.
