The activated charcoal used in this soap comes from various hard woods (a renewable resource). It is produced by a high temperature steam activation process -- no chemicals used! It's known for it's ability to draw out toxins and impurities. (Fun fact, it's used in water filters to freshen water by removing contaminants). Scented with a balanced blend of lavender, lemongrass, and tea tree not only makes this soap very delightful, but also beneficial as a facial soap. Lavender soothes irritated and inflamed skin, lemongrass controls oiliness, while tea tree dissolves clogged pores. This soap lathers up nicely with a soft, bubbly lather.
