Persimmon Chutney

This is artisanal cooking that you should have on your holiday table. Persimmons, apples, onion, golden raisins, red pepper, ginger, jalapeno, lemon, cinnamon, allspice and other spices - what a mouthful!Use this on everything - seriously - from English muffins to roast - what an amazing mouthful of flavor!  Our jams use 1/2 the sugar of regular jam recipes and we use no pectin so we are truly concentrating the flavors into a jar. This simmers for about 5 hours to let the flavors meld! The Brits would call this a "conserve", similar to our "preserves". Perfect for tea and crumpets.
