This translation of Sherwood Anderson's autobiography 'A Story Teller's Story' (originally published in 1924) was done by Elena Romanova (1911–1989), a translator better known for her work on Hemingway's writings.The book also includes a preface by the prominent literary critic Sergei Dinamov (Oglodkov; 1901–1939), a leading scholar of American literature and a Shakespearean expert. Dinamov began corresponding with Theodore Dreiser in 1926 and played a significant role in promoting and interpreting Dreiser's work in Russia.
