This new version of a Russian folktale is centered around an old woman, her hen, and other animals who live on her farm. The story is crafted in the style of a cumulative tale.Illustrations were created by the sculptor Appolon Manuilov (1894-1973), known for his work on the Alexander Griboyedov monument in Moscow. We couldn't trace any copy of this edition via OCLC.
