Original teardrop shape of this hand cut Spanish silver "Piece of 8" never mattered, the Spanish Crown only required the silver purity be over 93% pure and cut to a specific weight. Special due to all visible details on both sides of coin: Lions of Leon and Castles of Castile in the quadrants of the cross and the mintmark o/M (Mexico City) and Assayer "J" to the left of shield on opposite side. Recovered from the 1715 Fleet shipwreck sites south of Cape Canaveral, Florida.  Pendant handcrafted in solid 14K gold.
