Guatemala La Morena - 2019 Golden Bean medal winner

Winner of a bronze medal at Golden Bean 2019! Medium roast single origin coffee. Tasting notes: plum, vanilla, chocolate. We here at Big House Beans are proud to introduce our newest Coffee With A Cause, the Guatemala La Morena. Currently, in Guatemala gender inequality remains a very difficult challenge, especially in the male dominated coffee industry. This year's La Morena microlot has been grown and produced by four female farmers from Huehutenango: Teresa Alvarado, Aleida Herrera, Sara Lopez, and Yuris Yojana Villatoro. We found that this coffee has a delightful cola note that lingers on the palate. See if you can find it for yourself!
