I’m Fine

64 in x 32 in  Oil and spray paint on cut wood This is a sister piece to the portrait of the male. “I’m fine” is the constant representation of how I am when I'm in the presence of another person, because my life is so chaotic. I don’t have control of these situations, but I know how to exist within them. When I say that “I’m fine”, I usually am fine because I know how to take a punch. In most circumstances, past partners of mine become obsessed with the idea of trying to fix my problems, with trying to fix me. Boundaries aren’t the norm, so when a new person comes into my life I am immediately a project for them, but I’m fucking fine.
