Heidi Zumbrun is a fine art and commercial photographer based in Los Angeles. A visual story- teller deeply rooted in the California surf and motorcycle worlds, her vision provides a unique mix of first-hand photographic diary and artistic subtlety applied to a cross section of beach and street cultures. Zumbrun’s editorial perspective is fueled by a love of quality design, good waves, road trips and two wheels. Her work is informed by her insider’s viewpoint, which is particularly evident in the disarmed, personal energy of her portraiture. Zumbrun received a BFA from UC Santa Barbara and an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute. With a career spanning a trio of decades, her photographs have been exhibited internationally & domestically and are currently included in the permanent collection at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Berkeley Museum, Denver Museum, and the Ulrich Museum.
