Cercis canadensis 'Ruby Falls' This beautiful cultivar of native Eastern Redbud is a compact weeping deciduous tree. Ruby Falls welcomes spring with showy dark pink buds on red stems that mature into gorgeous heart-shaped burgundy leaves in the summer then fade to yellow in the fall. The relatively small size makes this a fabulous feature in small yards or even larger containers on a sunny patio. In a garden setting, companion plant with Kousa dogwood, hydrangeas, daylilies or gardenia to enhance and compliment the stunning seasonal color changes. Ruby Falls is just as comfortable in a zen garden setting as it is a more rustic cottage garden.
