Also called Summersweet. A Bloombox staff favorite! Clethra' Ruby Spice' is a native shrub thats commonly found in much of the eastern US. Its typically native to riverbeds and wet areas, however its a very versatile garden plant that can do well in most conditions. It features long pink flowers that are incredibly fragrant and bloom all summer. They give way to seed pods in fall that will provide food for native birds during the winter. Typical size is about 4-6 feet tall and wide. Requires little to no maintenance. Clethra 'Ruby Spice' is a top food source for hummingbirds. Expect to see them flocking to it's flowers. Butterflies and bees also benefit from it's nectar. Arrives to you in a 1 gallon-sized pot.
