Cornus 'Arctic Fire Yellow'

Cornus stolonifera Smaller and more compact than typical red twig dogwoods, the 'Arctic Fire' grows to about 5’ tall and features yellow stems that show off in winter months. Plant in full shade to full sun, this variety is one of the most shade tolerant ornamental shrubs. Deer resistant and a perfect way to add color to your garden during the winter months. Branches work well in cut flower arrangements. To maintain the bright yellow stems, it is recommended to cut back 1/3 of the "old wood" in early spring.  Typically grown to add winter interest to gardens, it does feature attractive green foliage over spring and summer and white flowers which bloom in late spring. Flowers bloom on old wood. Makes a nice specimen plant, but really "wows" in the garden when mass planted.  Native to North America. Arrives to you in a gallon-sized pot as shown in photo 3.
