Dianthus 'Electric Red' Also known as a "Carnation" this variety of Dianthus features large, semi-double, rich red blooms. Nice blue-green foliage and lengthy blooming periods are also great features. Dianthus makes a great cut flower and is ideal for containers, garden borders, and modern landscapes. A cottage garden is not complete without several Dianthus. They also have a wonderful spicy-clove aroma!  Plant in full to part sun with well-drained garden soil. These beauties are heat tolerant, deer resistant, and attractive to pollinators! Remove spent flowers to encourage more buds to form.
