Dianthus caryophyllus 'Oscar® Cherry + Velvet'  Also known as a "Carnation" this variety of Dianthus features large, double pink flowers and silver-blue foliage with lengthy blooming periods. Blooms are often two inches in diameter on top of sturdy stems. Dianthus makes a great cut flower and is ideal for containers, garden borders, and modern landscapes. A cottage garden is not complete without several Dianthus. They also have a wonderful spicy-clove aroma!  Plant in full sun with well-drained garden soil. These beauties are heat tolerant, deer resistant, and attractive to pollinators! Remove spent flowers to encourage more buds to form.
