New leaves are a light green, but they mature into a silvery color as they grow.  Native to tropical regions of the world, philodendron hastatum typically grows outside on rainforest floors, vining up the sides of trees and rocks, going to hundreds of feet long with leaves over a foot wide! Indoors in your home, you can expect steady growth that matches the size of the pot in which it's planted in. It's an excellent choice for hanging planters, wall planters, and areas that get very low light. It also can go several weeks without any water. **Toxic if ingested.
