Leonetto Cappiello (1875–1942) was an Italian-born French poster artist and painter who is widely regarded as the father of modern advertising. He created many of the most iconic poster designs of the early 20th century, including posters for Absinthe Robette, Dubonnet, Lux Soap, and Malaga Wine. He was known for his bright colors and energetic compositions, often featuring comic and humorous elements.
