This copy of Studer’s The Birds of North America entered into the Fitchburg Public Library system in 1906. The binding is the original one that the monograph was sold with, and while the spine is degrading, the boards have held up remarkably well and are still attached. Internally, the book is clean and beautiful. The plates are in great condition and are each marked with the library’s stamp.
