This configuration of the slides is how the instrument was produced. Do not let the low price fool you. This is a respectable horn that would be great for any beginner student. The horn has a very nice sound and is priced to sell to someone on a tight budget. The horn recently came out of the shop and all of the braces are secure, all of the tuning slides pull freely, and the valves function very well. There are some dings, dents, surface scratches, and other signs of character. The lead pipe has a slight bend and the bell also has a slight bend.
