Biltwell Apes Handlebar

Ape handlebars have a purpose beyond their classic chopper aesthetic, and that is to alter the bike's aerodynamic profile by raising the rider's hands level with or slightly above shoulder height. This increases the front profile going down the highway, which in turn reduces headwind pressure against the rider's chest at higher speeds. It's the same principle as a windshield, without the plastic appendage jutting off the forks.
