Silk is considered one of the strongest natural fibers and is typically obtained from the cocoons of the silkworm. Vegan Liquid Silk is derived from fermentation in a process that isolates the same amino acids found in cocoon-derived silk. Whether yeast or animal-derived, silk comprises the proteins sericin and fibroin, which contain the amino acids glycine, alanine, and serine. Sericin can be used to provide a protective barrier on skin and hair while adding a silky feel to lotions, soaps, lubricants, hair, and skincare products. Silk is hydrolyzed, which breaks down the fiber into its components and reduces the molecular size to 2k-4k Daltons. Molecules in this size range will provide the penetrating benefits of silk and the silky feel on skin and hair. Hydrolyzed silk will help build skin to improve moisturization, elasticity, and firmness while enhancing the soft, smooth feel. For hair, silk derivatives will enhance the look and feel while preventing hair breakage.  Suggested Use &
