Arctic Circle - Orca/Killer Whale Portait - Throw Blanket - Cameo Anderson

Arctic CircleOkay, so the name is not as cool as the actual painting, but I was being cute – at least that was my intention. The painting is largely circular in shape and features scenery from the arctic where it takes a truly determined spirit to thrive. The killer whale, or orca, are some of my favorite creatures. I often refer to them as wolves of the sea because they hunt in packs and also have haunting and beautiful vocalizations that they send through the darkness of their abode. Perfect for cool nights on the porch or in the house on the couch by a fireplace or even by a window while reading a book.Unlike the wolf, orca aren't really facing humans that want to make them extinct. People do want to trap them in cages that are too small and cut off from their family (remember, they are pack oriented so this is devastating to them). There are humans that want to treat the orca like it is a pet – and have it perform for humans under the guise of conservation. This painting is an hono
