Intro to Silversmithing Full Day (6 Hours) Jewelry Making Class

Class Duration  6 hours: 1x3 hour-session: 9:00-12:00 and 1x3 hour-session 13:30-16:30.   Description In this 6 hours introductory class, learn the basics of metalsmithing and make your very own piece of silver jewelry using traditional techniques. This is a great beginner's class and an excellent introduction to making silver jewelry for children and adults (age 7+). You will work with wire or sheet to design and make your own piece of jewelry. The 6 hours class will allow you to go more into detail with your designs and give it a stunning finish. This class runs from 9:00-12:00 or 13:30 - 16:30 (special times available upon request) Class covers beginning techniques in Tools Sawing Stamping and hammering Soldering Sanding and polishing Working with silver Safety Class sizes are small, with no more than 6 students at a time to allow one-on-one time with the tutors.With the techniques you are shown, you will be able to make 1 piece of jewelry from silver to take home with you.
