A failing ECM sometime appears as an Idle Air Control Valve in need of replacement. If you have replaced the Idle Air Control Valve on your Infiniti i30 and the P0505 code is still present, the source of the problem is the ECM. NOTE: The Idle Air Control Valve on the vehicle MUST be replaced with an OEM (Hitachi brand) IACV prior to reinstallation of the ECM, or immediate damage to the computer will occur!!
