Origin: Colombia Department: Cauca Municipality: Páez Locality: Resguardo Indigena Cohetando Producers: ASPROCAFÉ Altitude: 1600 - 1900 meters Process: Washed Varieties: Castillo, V. Colombia, Caturra Tasting notes: Red apple, dark chocolate, fig This coffee was produced by ASPROCAFÉ, an association of more than fifty producing families in the Cohetando indigenous reserve of Páez, Cauca, Colombia. Páez is a particularly difficult area in which to work because of its proximity to the port of Buenaventura and the notable drug trafficking in the area. The coffee is sourced by our partners at Osito Coffee, and due to the strategic location of their purchasing point in the neighboring community of La Plata, ASPROCAFÉ producers are able to easily deliver coffee to them without putting any Osito staff members in harm's
