#1 with a Mullet, an American Bitter
Kinda like a classic English Bitter, but with an American hop twist. You might even say it is all business upfront with a malt-forward profile featuring Maris Otter and caramel malts, then a little party in the back with a citrusy, grapefruit finish from Centennial hops. Lower on the ABV scale, it should also make a crushable brew all year round. Color: 8 SRM (Gold to Copper). IBU: 25. ABV: 4.5%. Extract kits include liquid and/or dry malt extract, plus crushed specialty grains with a grain sock to steep. Partial mash kits include malt extract, plus a larger amount of crushed base malt and specialty grains with a grain sock, and require extra steeping time. All-grain kits include crushed base malt and specialty grains, and require advanced technique and equipment. All kits also include: • Hops • Dry yeast • Bottle caps and priming sugar • Whirlfloc tablet or Irish moss • Yeast (you choose dry yeast, liquid yeast, or not yeast)
