Cherry Bark Tea Caddy & Tea Scoop Set

This tea caddy set is from Tomioka Shoten in Akita Prefecture, made using a traditional technique called Kabazaiku. The tea canisters are carefully wrapped in bark from wild mountain cherry trees. Although extremely delicate and difficult to work with in its raw state, once applied and polished, the bark's natural antibacterial properties create an ideal environment for tea leaf. The set also includes a tea scoop made with cherry bark as well, which measures roughly 3-5g of tea leaf with each scoop. 150g W8.3cm×H9.5cm
