X-Men Cyclops Retro Shorts

Chalk Line honors one of our favorite mutants with the X-Men Cyclops Retro Shorts! Cyclops, a founding member of the X-Men, was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in the early '60s and first appeared in The X-Men #1 in 1963. Scott Summers, Cyclops alter ego, is one of the very first mutants recruited by Professor X and throughout the comics they display a father/son-like relationship. Eventually, Cyclops emerges as the leader of the X-Men and forms a romantic relationship with Jean Grey (Phoenix). In 1991, Marvel revised the entire lineup of X-Men comic book titles with writer Chris Claremont and relaunched the series. Cyclops is drawn here by the great Jim Lee for the first cover of the 1991 comic X-Men #1.
