2020 Vidigal Vinho Tinto Reserva
From: Lisbon, Portugal Blend: 70% Tinta Roriz, 20% Castelao, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon Taste: The nose initially smells pleasantly fruity, reminiscent of Beaujolais. Brambly berries, ripe bing cherries, a pop of fresh raspberry and a core of woodsy earth with a touch of cocoa. The palate follows its aromas, but with more baking spice, and toasty cocoa than you'd expect, balancing out all that pretty fruit. I recommend to serve this slightly chilled, especially when on warm nights. Pairing: You could very well go with a Beaujolais-esque Charcuterie theme to pair with this wine. It also makes us crave sausages...or a Ruben Sandwich! If you don't feel like making your own, we love the Ruben that Ken's Market makes, as well as the Reubenator from Valhalla Sandwiches. About.
