The ‘CPE 996/997 Powertrain Mounting Package’ facilitates the installation of any Chevrolet LSx-based engine into Porsche 996 or 997 chassis models (1999–2011), specifically for non-Turbo and non-GT variants.   Key Features   Versatile Engine Positioning: Allows for engine placement in either the factory position or 1 inch forward (retains OEM trunk latch location), depending on motor plate orientation. Adapter Plate: Connects the Porsche 996/997 non-Turbo/GT manual transaxle to a Chevrolet LSx engine and accommodates an OEM starter (GM 12617229). Motor Mounts: Designed to bolt into the factory Porsche engine mount locations, suspending the engine from the cylinder heads.
