Mounting The ‘CPE 996TT/997TT Powertrain Mounting Package (Turbo/GT)’ allows you to install ANY Chevrolet LSx based engine into a Porsche 996TT/997TT (‘01-‘09) chassis!  Our adapter plate will marry the Porsche 996TT/997TT Turbo/GT manual transaxle to the Chevrolet LSx engine/accept the OEM trans mounted starter, while our motor plates bolt into the factory Porsche engine mount location(s), and suspend the engine from the cylinder heads.   Flywheel This custom flywheel designed by and proprietary to CPE, brought to you by SPEC Clutch will allow for the successful torque delivery of ANY Chevrolet LSx based engine through a Porsche 996TT/997TT Turbo/GT manual transaxle. This flywheel features an all billet construction, doweled/fastened timing gear for complete timing accuracy, extreme RPM integrity, and has a replaceable steel friction surface.
