120 days to maturity for this striking variety with origins dating back to Virginia in 1845. Tall stalks reaching 10-12 feet produce 10-12” ears, with kernels in a vivid blood-red hue with darker crimson stripes, occasionally interspersed with white or blue variations. Ideal for flour, cornmeal, or roasting. Popular as a base for sour mash whiskey, if that’s your cup of whiskey. Average. 1–2 ears/stalk. ( I got 2-3 per stalk) 25 seeds per package
