2025 Handblown Glass Ornaments

About the Artist Alton Bucheimer is a trans Filipino glass artist working in Seattle, WA. Alton grew up in Maryland and started blowing glass in 2009 at the age of sixteen. He went on to receive his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design with a concentration in glass. He currently works as the Glass Studio Supervisor at Chihuly Garden and Glass. He finds inspiration in community and written language and uses glass to explore his gender and racial identity. Making a Difference A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the ornaments go to the Center Art Foundation, which is a subsidiary of the Seattle Foundation that helps fund local arts organizations, youth arts programs, school arts education and scholarships for individual artists.
