Pittsburgh Steel Shirt (Multiple Options)
This shirt is hand printed with an ink drawing of Pittsburgh. The drawing is about the rise of Pittsburgh as a center of iron and steel production and transport. There are over 75 details in here about Pittsburgh’s history in these industries. They range all the way from coal mining and iron production to shipbuilding and everything in between. The details are all specific. They range from the early 1800’s up to the parts of the city today that remain from these original industries. I draw on paper and then print the shirts on a manual screen-printing press.
