Abadan, the oil rich city in the Khuzestan province of Iran as well as other desert cities in this area have been devastated by the lack of water due to global warming and mismanagement as well as economic and political hardships which has escalated the devastation in this beautiful and rich land.  Abadan is also the birth place of Azin as she spent the first 4 years of her life there, where her parents were stationed, working at the Iranian National Oil Company.
