It has been the setting for films and works of art, including many 19th-century Hudson River School paintings, as well as many large resorts and spas. The Catskills have long been a haven for artists, musicians, and writers and Bethel was the site of the legendary Woodstock music festival of 1969 which attracted nearly half a
