Scarce vintage 8x10-inch sepia-tone 1940 Paramount Studios publicity portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in black fountain pen. In good condition, with gentle edge wear and a few negligible handling dings. After a stint in Hal Roach comedy shorts, goofy funnyman Ben Blue tried his hand at full-length features, memorable in College Swing (1938), Panama Hattie (1942), For Me and My Gal (1942), Thousands Cheer (1943), My Wild Irish Rose (1947), It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963), The Russians Are Coming, and The Russians Are Coming (1966).
