Very substantial and impressive set of bookends. These are from Judd Manufacturing which dates from the time of the Revolutionary War. These are later, circa 1920's, but still made in Connecticut. There are any number of untruths about these on the internet including that they are bronze but they are bronzed, painted cast iron. Also, sometimes, you will see them advertised as a doorstop - a convenient explanation if you only have one. Free shipping USA
