Schwinn Sidewinder for City Duty

$395 - 2018 Prices! There is no question that our used bikes are more expensive than they were several years ago. Two years ago, we could make smart buys of close-out saddles, overstock tires and go deep on chains when they were on sale. Fast forward to 2021 where I am buying parts for over retail on eBay. Also, we pay more for used bike projects. Not to mention general labor and business increases. We challenged ourselves to build a nice quality burrito slayer with lots of corner cutting but not a lot of function lost. It is rare to find something this clean and complete where almost nothing needs to be replaced. Usually this would have gotten new tires, a new silver Dirt Drop style stem, a chrome or alloy bar, new pedals, new alloy seat post, new grips and we would have replaced the plastic-y Altus shifters with friction Sunrace thumbies.
