This, to me, is the best way to make a one-cup at home. When I am making more than one cup, I am using a Moccamaster, but I got tired of dumping out / wasting coffee with the MM when it's just lil ol' me at home. The whole reason I started making coffee at home in the first place was to save money - so why was I dumping it down the drain? So then - I started making pour overs like I did in the glory years. It was fun to get back in touch with the hand brew style of making coffee, but that enthusiasm quickly died because of my OCD mind; what I was getting day to day was not an accurate representation of my coffee. There are just too many variables: flow rate, temperature, etc etc - it just was not the most consistent way to make coffee at home. And second - time. I just don't always have the time to heat up a pot of water and make coffee for 15 mins. So this is the solution. I have used it for about 200 days in a row and I still love it, so here it is.
