John Ruano Costa (single family lot) - Oporapa, Huila, Colombia

We are proud to introduce this pink-bourbon lot that we have sourced from our friends at Caravela. In March of this year, Eli and Matt had the opportunity to visit his farm and spend time with his family while on a trip to Huila. We instantly felt comfortable, welcomed by their warm generosity. John and his 9-year old son gave us a tour of the farm, we spent a lot of time learning about their methods and process around growing coffee, and sat around their dinner table having black coffee with sugar and cookies as the light faded at the end of the day. When we received a sample of their coffee this summer, we were pleased to find many delicious characteristics in the cup.
