Academy Model Tar Drums

Our Academy Model drum has been spec'd to be especially light  and nimble - perfect for upright playing style.  The "mousehole" shaped grip enhances control and accessibility to the head ( great for players with small hands). The outside edge of drum is rolled slightly more than our standard models in order to soften the feel. 13" diameter x 3" depth. Thin shell, single-ply steam bent Vermont Cherry wood. (shown with curl maple shell) Musical Instrument grade lacquer, buffed and waxed. "Mousehole" grip and soften "comfort" edges. REMO Renaissance drum head or REMO Ebony (Shown)
