Seaweed Wheat Mug

This mug was thrown on the pottery wheel, the handle was attached and the design was created by hand, then fired in the kiln at 2170°F. The clay is a sandy colored ceramic stoneware with dark speckles. The glaze was applied by hand, and has run in places down the hand carved design. This glaze has turned matte and is a soft green in some areas, and melted and turned shiny with vibrant greens in other parts. This is due to the kilns temperature melting the glaze in different ways, and has created a one of a kind design. This mug can hold 415ml/14oz of liquid. H: 3.25"W: 5.5"D: 4"
