Crestron Cresnet® Hub - CNXHUB
Spec Sheet The CNXHUB is a six-segment Cresnet® hub designed to facilitate the configuration of large Cresnet networks. A Cresnet hub is ordinarily required for any Cresnet network that has more than 20 devices or 3000 feet (914 meters) of cable. NOTE: For maximum Cresnet performance and reliability, use an Ethernet to Cresnet Bridge (DIN-CENCN-2 or DIN-CENCN-2-POE). The Cresnet® BusCresnet is the communications backbone for many Crestron® keypads, lighting controls, shade motors, thermostats, occupancy sensors, and other devices that don’t require the higher speed of Ethernet. It provides a dependable and flexible wiring solution, allowing multiple devices to be wired together in parallel using both home-run and daisy-chain topologies. The Cresnet bus distributes bidirectional data communication and 24VDC power to each device over a single 4-conductor cable.Six-Segment Cresnet HubWithout a Cresnet hub, the Cresnet bus supports a maximum of 20 devices and a maximum aggregate cable length of 3000 ft (914 m). Adding a Cresnet hub improves reliability for larger networks. A Cresnet hub divides the network into multiple isolated segments, each capable of supporting another 20 devices with 3000 ft (914 m) of additional cabling.[1]Under-Table or Rack-MountableThe CNXHUB is housed in a compact metal enclosure that can be placed on a shelf, attached under a table, or mounted in a 19” equipment rack. Its 1RU half-width form factor allows it to fit in a single rack-space alongside a second CNXHUB or other 1RU half-width Crestron device.[2] Features Enables the configuration of large Cresnet® networks Provides six isolated Cresnet segments Supports 20 Cresnet devices per segment [1] Supports 3000 ft (914 m) aggregate cable length per segment [1] No programming required Single-space, half-width 19-inch rack-mountable [2] Under-table mountable [2] Cresnet network powered Specification Connectors NET A – F (6) 4-pin 3.5mm detachable terminal blocks comprising (1) Cresnet® port per each of (6) segments Indicators PWR (1) green LED, indicates Cresnet power is supplied to the unit via any NET port Net Activity A – F (6) yellow LEDs, each indicate Cresnet bus activity at the corresponding NET port Power Requirements Cresnet Power Usage 2 Watts (0.084 Amp @ 24 Volts DC) Environmental Temperature 41° to 113° F (5° to 45° C) Humidity 10% to 90% RH (non-condensing) Enclosure Chassis Metal, black finish Front Panel Metal, black finish, polycarbonate label overlay Mounting Freestanding, under-table mountable, or 1RU half-width rack-mountable (adhesive feet included, under-table and rack mounting kits sold separately) Dimensions Height 1.70 in (44 mm) Width 7.07 in (180 mm) Depth 6.32 in (161 mm) Weight 1.91 lb (0.86 kg)
