When she first caught sight of this scene out of the corner of her eye while playing fife in a parade, Sally thought it was a field of blue flowers. Unable to imagine what would be blooming like that, at that time of year, she headed back for a closer look after the parade with her camera. That's when she realized they weren't flowers, they were flags! A beautiful and touching sight on the hillside meadow in front of a church in Essex, Connecticut.
