Let’s Create: Ceramics (Ages 8-14)

Our Let’s Create series invites artists ages 8-14 to explore a new medium each week. With guided instruction and plenty of hands-on practice, students will build confidence, develop new skills, and leave with their very own finished artwork. This week we’re focusing on Ceramics—learning how to bring ideas to life through clay. Students will explore hand-building techniques such as pinching, coiling, and slab construction to create form, texture, and function. By the end of class, they’ll complete a unique clay piece that will be kiln-fired for a lasting finish. Students will be guided through their project with opportunities to customize their piece’s shape, decorative details, and finishing touches.
