Wavering

It was an early morning over the weekend at Las Olas beach. Every time I am in this area, I find myself drawn to the curvy wall and unique lamp posts that line the beach. With the throngs of beachgoers and tourists that frequent this area, shooting this during the day was not going to produce the result I was looking for; it had to be an early morning shot. I arrived on site at 5:30 AM and spent the first 15 minutes or so walking back and forth figuring out how to incorporate the wonderful elements that appear here. I composed the shot so as to position the wall and lamp posts in the center of the lines of palm trees giving the image depth. I was careful to include the lifeguard stand on the right and then needed to create more interest on the left side of the photo. Every now and again a car would whiz by and I thought to use a slow enough shutter speed to capture the tail lights of as a red streak.
