Three Bridges

This photograph was made in the South Street Seaport area of New York City. I was shooting from this spot in the late afternoon and decided to hang in there until dusk with the hope that color would appear in the sky and create some magic. Low and behold I was presented with a spectrum of beautiful pastels as the sunset made its way to the horizon. The lighting was exceptional and dusk turned into a beautiful evening. I enjoy the way the warm light of dusk illuminates the truss of the Brooklyn Bridge with the beautiful colors on the horizon. I composed this photo in a way that allows you to see the three bridges: Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge and Williamsburg Bridge.
