Also available as high quality note cards. Serendipity! A beauty like this is why I take walks through my neighborhood. I’m fascinated by the geometry; the twirl of the petals is so beautiful. There is a reason Portland is called “Rose City.” So many people love roses. Nearly everyone has roses. You are tripping over them. Some people take living in Rose City very seriously. There is a house near me that has a permanent structure in the roses that will hold altered Golf Umbrellas, to protect the roses from the sun. Another house has roses climbing the entire wall on one side. Most have one or two bushes. But then there are the rose gardens. Tens of species with hundreds of blossoms in just the front yard. These houses I keep track of. This rose was only two blocks from my house. One a major street and a corner. That might seem like a challenge, but this owner stood up to it.
