The peace and beauty of the depths are here. I love visiting neighborhood gardens in Portland. There are so many and they are so diverse. One garden is on an odd, triangle lot just off a major road. The city noises are right there with you, but so also is an 1800’s house. Another is a more royal feeling garden with gazebo and fountain. Then there is the neighborhood that focuses on the rose gardens at the central intersections. All roads lead to a rose garden. I found this amazing blossom there. Theses gardens are in a large square lot that replace a circus in the road. Parking can be a challenge. I think I went around the garden three times before finding any space. Then, when you are inside a garden, you are in a separate time and place. Each garden has its own character. Wild roses here and tea roses there. There is bea
