Combine that with the peacefulness of this striking color and I am in ecstasy. Everyone tends to favorites: your favorite clothes, favorite food, favorite child (admit it. It is just us here.) It is very hard for an artist to have a favorite color. Colors express. Colors contrast. Colors create. But I do have favorite colors of roses. The unusual. The striking. The amazing. Meet one of my favorites. This is a rose bush just off a path. It is hard to choose not to walk that way. I mean every week, I stand at the juncture and feel the draw, the allure of this amazing color. I know that shaking things up makes you grow. I know that taking a different route can bring new insight. Turn left and meet new opportunities. Turn right and find the wonder of joy and peace wrapped in a spiral of love. You choose. I dare you. I double dare you. These are even smaller sized roses. Not tiny, but small enough to be a photographic challenge. I could hold that against them, but then I look into that spiral and that color and I can’t resist. I am addicted. And I love it. I take my “road most travelled” turn and ooh and ahh, each and every time. Thank you for letting me share with you.
